On offer is this very unusual Victorian enamel mourning ring set with 2 pearls and 4 rose cut diamonds.

The head of the ring has a rectangular shape and is decorated with kiss type patterns on the top and bottom. It looks a bit like a coffin with a cross made out of diamonds on the top.

The ring is hallmarked for 15ct gold and is stamped .62 for the diamond content. It’s also inscribed with the initials ‘H.A.L’ and ‘Died 21 Dec. 1875’.
