As much as I like all types of unusual antique jewellery, pieces made of rock crystal have earned a special place in my heart.

I’ve seen many fabulous examples over the years, but this one has to be crowned queen of them all.

These enchantingly beautiful earrings come from my personal collection and I have cherished and worn them with pride for a long time.
But now I’d like to give someone else the chance to enjoy them, as they don’t often come out of the box any more. And that’s definitely not where these beauties belong!

These lush earrings are late Victorian and are crafted in silver with two highly detailed swallows holding pools of light quartz orbs in their beaks.
They are absolutely magnificent and I can’t stop admiring the lifelike details of the little birds – they even have tiny eyes!

Like all genuine pools of light jewellery, the orbs have a magical glow when the light hits them from a certain angle.

Measurements:
Total length (from the top of the hooks): just over 4 cm, out of which the swallows are 11 x 13 mm and the orbs 14 mm.

Weight: 10 grams

Condition: excellent for age

I’d like to think that the next owner will love and appreciate these stunning earrings as much as I did.

They are truly special and would make a fantastic wedding gift.
