This is a gorgeous Georgian garnet & pearl cluster mourning ring in 9ct gold.

It's quite an unusual piece that seems to have a sealed locket compartment under the front, possibly with a memento inside.

The garnets are absolutely stunning, flat cut with a beautiful purple hue - possibly almandine type.
I had quite a frustrating photography session with this one and no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't capture the true colour of the stones!

This is a ring with presence, the front measuring 1.3 x 1.5 cm.
