You are looking at a rather unusual antique lover's eye brooch.

It is crafted in gold tone metal with beautifully engraved flowers and leaves framing the sepia eye.

Unlike Georgian painted miniatures, this eye appears to be an early photographic image and a unique piece as such.

All original with no signs of tampering.

The brooch measures 2.4 x 3 cm and is complete with a safety chain.

Condition: a couple of long scratch lines to the glass, but otherwise good for age.
