Description

Attractive Chinese tea caddy of rectangular form with indented canted corners, hand painted in blue and white showing idealised landscapes with mountains and pagodas, different on each side of the caddy.
The shoulders of the caddy are decorated with four 'auspicious' bats - the word for bat, fu is a homonym for good fortune, blessings, happiness and prosperity. An upside down bat forms a rebus on the word 'arrived' and proclaims the arrival of happiness.
