Millikin & Lawley 165 Strand London Complete Cased Surgeons Field Set stamped Royal Army Medical Corps with the name Jessie E Canter/Carter signed inside, its my belief that he must have been a Captain or a Major serving in the army as you needed to be this rank to be a surgeon. All the implements are there, so its a complete set, the set of scalpels are very sharp. A beautiful piece, from a top London maker.
