Description

Antique 1830s Hand Painted Bavarian Porcelain Pipe Bowl Probably Meissen. Sadly these pipes are hardly ever have a makers mark, but the better quality ones were made by meissen, and I believe this is a very good quality item, it has beautiful decoration, which consists (panel by panel) of a Prussian Soldier in his blue uniform, a fighting cockerel, a gentleman smoking a elongated porcelain pipe, a turkey, a violin or fiddle player and finally a beautiful bird in flight. It still has very vibrant colors, although the gilding is rubbed through use.
