Mid 18th Century Air Twist Wine Glass

Description
A very fine air twist wine glass dating from around 1750. The twist pulled from a ball with eleven air bubbles in and then twisted to give the ornamental effect, you can feel the twist on the stem. The trumpet bowl has all the marks of the hand wiping and several small bubbles of air. The foot too, shows all the marks of its making with several inclusions of unmelted impuritiesDateMid 17th Century :
