Description

An 18th century Delft charger in reasonably good order. It suffers from the usual nibbles around the edge plus a few chips, a constant problem with the soft pottery that they are made of. The decoration is vibrant and the depth of colour suggests that it is Dutch Delft rather than English, the riotous flowers in the centre 0 by inward looking flowers around the rim. The price reflects the several chips around the rim although they don't really detract from the sheer enthusiasm of the piece. There's no damage to the body of the plate.
