Description

A pretty pair of polychrome Delft plates with an unusual twist. In the pattern are pictured four lions faces not necessarily obvious to all. I had to have them pointed out to me before I could see them. These plates are free of cracks and a gentle ping with a finger rings clear but as with 99 per cent of delft it suffers from varied fritting around the edges. They are also quite early, dating from the latter part of the 17th century
