Description

A mid 18th century Delft wet drug jar. Flor Persic, syrup of Persicus. The leaves, seeds and flowers of the peach tree. A treatment for worms among other ailments. The pot is in remarkable condition for Delf which tends to damage around the edges so easily. So many of these drug jars have damaged foot rims, one can only imagine it's a result of the number of times they were returned to the shelf in haste. Many, like this one, have a chipped spout as well.
DateMid 18th Century : Mid 17th century MakerDelft Dimensions9" tall and 6" diameter. ConditionIn lovely condition, almost no fritting, even a complete foot but a chipped spout.
