A hard to find matched pair of early 18th century oak japanned lacquer and gilt chinoiserie corner cabinets retaining there original decoration with no restoration ,profusely decorated in raised gilt gesso and gilt pen work on a black lacquer ground with typical Chinese life scenes in the style of the period ,each cabinet retains its brass butterfly hinges and eschutions with original locks and keys .
Whilst there are minor differences they are of the same period and have spent a large part of their existence together .
They are in very good country house antique condition with the normal signs of age and use commensurate with there great age providing both decor and storage
