Description

19th century adjustable mahogany gentleman's shaving or toilet mirror c1850. Oval framed mirror on a baluster-form support over an oval base. Solid and beautifully aged mahogany with ebony and box banding on base, support and frame. Original brass fixture to rear of mirror providing both tilt and swivel. Overall height to top of mirror measures 38 cm. Mirror measures 31 cm x 25 cm. Base measures 25 cm x 19 cm.

DateMid 19th Century : c1850 ConditionOverall this mirror is in very good condition commensurate with age. Plate mirror has patches where its silver backing is distressed however this does not prevent its use. Base and support in excellent condition. Very attractive patina.
