Description

A very attractive and unusual Art Deco French opalescent glass dish by Verlux c1920s. Moulded glass with relief of starfish and shellfish entwined in seaweed to its upper surface. Frosted upper surface with opalescent highlights emphasising the design. Sits on three small glass 'ball' feet. Moulded mark Verlux France. The dish is 35 cm in diameter.
This dish is in overall very good condition commensurate with age. It has a few tiny fleabites on its relief however these are at all not readily visible and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. Captured bubbles as is common in glass of this period. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
