Item Vase / Ewer

Details Attractive piece with a handle to one side. Stamped on the base with the Doulton Lambeth impressed mark and dated 1883. The monogram of designer Frank A. Butler is also impressed on the base together with the number 366 and some other marks (see pictures).

Condition Very good condition with some wear consistent with age. No chips or cracks, but there is a very slight nibble to the outer rim of the base. There is some grubbiness and there are some paint flecks and marks. There are also some flaws in the glaze done at the time of manufacture as might be expected. Some grubbiness and staining inside.
