12" Dial Wall Clock (England, c. 1915)

A George V period round dial wall antique clock. It has a turned beechwood surroundin a mahoganyfinish. The white painted dial is signed by the retailers Camerer Cuss of London and has a polished and lacquered brass bezel. It has 8 day spring pendulum movement.
The Anglo-German clockmaking firm Camerer Kuss was founded in London by two German immigrants In 1867 the firm opened a retail outlet and workshop in New Oxford Street. The shop eventually had several branches each owned by brothers. The flagship New Oxford Street shop closed in 1983.
Current Condition
The case has been repolished, the dial has been restored, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. We have been established since 1978, dealing in and restoring most antiques, specialising in clocks and furniture. We have our own workshops where we carry out specialist restoration work.-
We have just relocated to our new premises, The Old Forge in Chalfont St Giles.
