16 Drawer Haberdashery Shop Display Counter

DESCRIPTION:
This is a stunning 16 Drawer Shop Haberdashery Display Counter. The counter dates from approx. the 1950/60’s and is oak frame set off against the beech drawer fronts and sides with oxidised copper cup handles. The counter stands on black block legs. The counter has had a new glass top fitted as the other was too badly scratched however the rest of the counter is in superb condition. The colour of the oak and beech and mellowed to a beautiful colour and the beech drawer fronts give the counter a more modern look than most of the vintage haberdasheries. This is one of those counters that is going to look great in a modern kitchen as a stand-alone piece either in the centre or against the wall, with the other fitted units in a colour that contrasts and sets the piece off even more. This counter due to its sturdy block legs with also suit many settings both commercial and residential for use as it should be a display counter or in a craft room etc.

WORKSHOP REPORT:
This counter has been through the workshop and has had a new glass top fitted and all the old sticker residue removed and given a general good clean and polish. There is also a slight dent to one of the handles but because of the light reflection not noticeable unless you really look for it. This counter is all solid and sturdy and well ready to give years of practical and enjoyable use for many years to come.
