16th Century Carved Oak Caryatid With Lion Head


An Interesting Early English 16th Century Carved Oak Caryatid.
The top half of usual design with the torso of an atlantis and the bottom half is a fierce looking lions head which is a design rarely seen and makes a change from the usual columns and vines.
Good carving and the oak is a dark colour with a great patina.
