1796 pattern Cavalry Officers sword in steel scabbard and with blue and gilt blade. Has a faceted steel stirrup hilt with silver wire bound leather grip. Blade approximately half blue and gilt design with royal crest and trophies of arms. On the reverse side the design includes GR and a horseman with sword in gilt. Curved heavy blade. In very good condition on the exterior but some wear to the blue and gilt and some rust staining to blade.

Approximately 97.5cm overall and blade 83cm.
