A 17th century , Charles II period, oak refectory dining table and six matching 17th century chairs , A highly desirable and rarely available set .
A stunning 17th century Charles II period , English oak refectory table with unusual design features , a carved lunette frieze on the front , back & sides of the top rails , supported by four boldly turned legs connected by peripheral stretchers. Still retaining its original plank top with cleated ends exhibits exceptional colour and patination, as does the base of the table.

An extremely rare original set of six matching Charles II period carved oak chairs .
Known as a back-stools , this early form of antique furniture developed from a simple stool. The backrests feature intricate carving, This particular style of chair is associated with the South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire regions . 108cm high x 46.5 cm width x 41.5 cm depth
The table and chairs are in very good antique condition showing usual signs of age and use , extremely solid , structurally sound . Capable of being used on a daily basis .
