This is a lovely piece of virtually untouched 17th Century furniture. Other than a strengthening bracket on the underside of the lid and a replacement lock everything else is as it was when it was made. The stile feet have little wear and the central lozenge panels to the front are very crisply carved. The whole has never been re-polished and still retains its original patina.
