A wonderful 17th century (circa 1680/Charles II) oak chest of drawers with geometrically moulded front and sides, brass pear drop handles and escutcheons with graduated drawers. The chest splits into two parts and sits on oak bracket feet. The top section of the chest has two small drawers at the top over two large ones with the bottom section of the chest one large drawer. The drawers are running on side runners with groves cut into the sides of the drawers which are still producing a very smooth open and closing action.
