'The New And Improved Practical Builder, And Workman's Companion...' by Peter Nicholson, published by Thomas Kelly, London, 1848.
The work comprises of three volumes bound into one substantial volume. Full leather binding with four raised bands, red leather title panel and gilt stamped title and date to the spine. There are some signs of shelf wear to the extremities commensurate with age. The boards remain firmly attached and the binding is tight.
Yellow endpapers with small pencil inscription and over 100 stunning engraved plates and fold-outs throughout. There is some browning to the preliminary pages but generally all pages remain in a very good condition.
An increasingly scarce complete work.
