An 1896 Waltham silver pocket watch in a Pioneer case. An enamel dial with black Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial. A rare 'Pioneer' case, with a screw down case front which was designed to hermetically seal the mechanism to avoid any dust or water entering the mechanism. A good quality model 1883 Waltham mechanism.
