1898 GE 12" Trunnion Mounted "Football" Tag "Pancake" Desk Fan. We Are Pleased To Offer A Very Rare And Desirable GE Pancake Fan. These Early Examples Very Rarely Become Available. This Fan Came From A Descendant Of The Original Owners. The Family Member Had Memories If This Fan Always Being Used In The Family Home. This Fan Was Part Of An Estate In Northern Indiana. The Family Member Included Many Polaroid Photos He Had Taken Of This Fan In The Family Homestead. When Purchased New, The Family Had A 125 Cycle 52 Volt System. As Supplied Power Progressed, The Homestead Was Upgraded To A 110v/ 60 Cycle Line. In Order To Continue Use Of Their Prized Fan They Had The Motor Upgraded. The Original Desired "Football" Tag Is Still Present To Represent The Fans Beginnings But Is Operational On 120v At 60 Cycles. Fan Runs Perfectly On 2 Speeds Using Its Original Switch And Coil. Two Of The Strut To Motor Acorn Style Nuts Are Missing. One Blade Wing Has A Slight Wrinkle Above The Last Rivets. Very Rare To Find This Example Available.
