18C Georgian oak coffer mule chest log basket
Antique very large 18C Georgian oak coffer.
Could be used as a massive trunk, ottoman or log basket.
Lovely huge proportions, age and style.
Great colour and patina.
This is an 18C coffer with later alteration.
This piece of antique furniture would look great in the right location, with Panelled front, sides and back
Overall dimensions 1650mmW x 630mmD x 870mmH.
Historical knocks, marks, cracking, repairs and alterations as one would expect, given the age of the piece. There is (as is always the case) some historic woodworm that we have treated for good measure. There is no key or lock. Later softwood rear panels have been added, also there has been strengthening and repairs/alterations to the lid / hinges.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 (or more if possible) strong able-bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
