A stunning late 18th-century George III period mahogany secretaire bookcase, showcasing exceptional quality and retaining its original patina. This well-proportioned piece features a moulded cornice above a glazed two-door cabinet, which sits atop a base with a long pull-out secretaire drawer and cupboard storage. The secretaire drawer is beautifully fitted with multiple interior drawers and hidden compartments, combining functionality with elegance. The glazed bookcase top contains two compartments, each equipped with three adjustable shelves, offering ample space for books or display. Standing on original bracket feet and adorned with its original brass handles, this piece also includes keys and fully working locks. A superb example of Georgian craftsmanship, dating from circa 1780.
