18th Century Primitive Stick Chair %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
18th century primitive stick back chair.
With heavy signs of original paint.
Primitive construction ,hoop back still with traces of bark over single elm plank on staved legs ,the top with a circular swirl ,this is a typical sign of the welsh artisan and is seen on early coffers and cupboards.
In good condition, there are circular marks to the seat where this chair was obviously uncared for at some time.
Great overall colour ,with traces of green and dark purple paint and a worn patina
