18th Century Carved Bust Of A Saint
A fine 18th century bust of a saint wearing a breast plate and a cloak. The hands are missing which is often the case with sculptures such as this one. Originally I think this would have probably been mounted on a molded base as there is dowel hole to the underside. The figure has a lovely rich patina and is in good condition.
