18th Century Carved High Back Oak Box Settle

The Settle has a superbly carved high panelled back with 8 panels carved in a Celtic design with the sun at the centre there are further carvings to the front, there is an unusual (hidden) seat opening allowing access to the storage box below
The bench is a superb country house piece with sturdy shaped arms
This bench is in good sturdy condition and it is a good large high size for a Country House

The settle is 61” high at the back, 46” wide and it is 23” deep
