This is a handsome English elm coffer dating from the late 18th century with a wonderful colour and patina. The coffer is in nice original order overall save for a replacement section to back right leg, shown in last photo which has been expertly done and blends in perfectly. This has its original hand forged iron hinges, iron hasp and lock plate (no lock). The chest is a good size measuring 127 cms long 41 cms deep and 55 cms high.
