A great piece of 18th century Georgian elm, this dresser base has three drawers, with a two plank top, two square section legs at the back and four turned, round section front legs with squared off feet. A true antique, it has the polished patina and deep colour typical of antique furniture which has been in use for 250 years. It is relatively shallow, at 39 cm in depth, making it an ideal storage piece for a narrower hallway or tighter space.

Dating to circa 1780, this is made of elm and originates from the UK.

In good age related condition, this is a sturdy piece with the small chips and splits expected for its long period of use. There are some signs of old woodworm, but this has not done significant damage and is historic. There is no lock on the central drawer or escutcheon on the right side, and there are some marks on the drawer fronts which would indicate changes in the drawer furniture over its long life. No key is available.
