A lovely 18th Century chinoiserie japanned corner cupboard, beautifully decorated in the oriental taste with temples, figures, exotic birds, flowers and foliage. The interior of this 18th Century cupboard has three shelves and the doors are lined with a decorative historic paper. The lock is missing, but the original catches enable one door to be securely closed whilst the other door pushes shut and stays closed. There have been a few historic repairs carried out over the years, mainly to the bottom cornice, please see photographs. The general condition can be described as 'shabby chic'. The decoration is very well done and in good condition and the colour and patina are excellent. This is a very decorative country house piece that would add character to any interior.
