18th Century Meissen Dot Period Porcelain Plate


Pretty 18th century Meissen porcelain plate painted with a scene of a young shepherd girl sitting on a bank in a landscape scene with 2 sheep beside her. The shaped rim has an unusual waved turquoise chequered pattern border framed with gilding with a dentil rim and scattered flowers inside the border. Underglaze dot period Meissen mark, c.1770 and impressed number 13.
It measures 23.5cm (9 1/4") wide and 3.5cm (1 7/8") high. Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
