18th Century Scottish Satin Birch Tea Caddy
Late 18th century octagonal shaped satin birch veneered tea caddy. All the corners are inlaid with a boxwood and ebony chequered line inlay with a similar banding around the base. The caddy has a nice urn shaped inlaid bone escution to the front. Original hinges and lock. The inside has been re-lined in Victorian times. The caddy is a bit worn around the edges and there are a few old filled worm holes but otherwise perfectly OK,
