A good late 18th Century mahogany cutlery/candle box of tapered form. This charming mahogany box has decorative oak inlay and a delightful pierced back splat decorated in typical Welsh country style. Good mellow colour and patina. There is a minor flaw to the corner of the base and an old repair to the back splat, this is to be expected in a much used antique piece and does not detract from the beauty of the piece.
