Lovely late 18th.c. oak box settle or hall benchc.1770. Tall sloping backrest with six raised and fielded panels over shaped arms on turned supports. Long seat with two hinged sections allowing access the very useful large storage space below – ideal for boots and shoes etc. Base also with raised and fielded panels to the front and sides. Some earlier reinforcing to the seats, otherwise excellent condition with original floor boards and back panels. Superb colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
