18thC Welsh Oak Rocking Chair


A rare and extremely pretty late 18thC Welsh oak rocking chair from the Tregaron area of Ceredigion.
Original throughout and in superb condition this comfy chair displays superb colour and patina and wonderfully figured timber.
The original rope seat along with the bar back and lrge crest rail are traditional features of the region and pegged construction throughout ensure a strong and stable piece suitable for everyday use.
With just a small number of historic worm holes (treated) and a chip to the rear of one rocker to mention this chair remains in excellent condition.
A beautiful and rare piece of early Welsh oak antique furniture.
