1919 Waltham full hunter pocket watch and chain.
1919 Waltham full hunter pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 610, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 22787689 which dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific case manufacturer who supplied Waltham UK. The case has some mild bruising to the front and back covers and light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition for a 1919 piece.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The signed dial has some very faint hairline cracks but otherwise it is in nice condition and it has its original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with a single chain, 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will come in a new presentation box.
