We have for sale a small gentleman's 1930s art deco Vertex watch

This unusual art deco design Vertex watch has a round stainless steel case extending to flared lugs giving the watch a bow shaped appearance. The case does carry some surface scratches commensurate with its age. The striking two tone silvered dial consists of an outer railroad minute chapter and an inner hour chapter marked in gold Arabic numerals. The dial is signed Vertex, Swiss Made and is completed by the original blued steel hour and minute hands and the subsidiary second dial. The dial is lightly aged and the hour, minute and second hands are all in an excellent condition. The dial is encapsulated beneath a good clean acrylic crystal.

Opening the watch reveals the 15 jewel 56 Cal movement. The movement is signed Vertex, Swiss Made, 15 jewels, VW and 56. and is in an excellent condition having just been fully serviced and photographed by our watchmaker.

This is a small gentleman's watch measuring approximately 1 & 1/5 inches (3.1cm) in diameter excluding the original recessed crown and is presented on a good black leather strap. This watch like all of our watches is being sold with a full twelve month warranty.
