An absolutely stunning and very rare Art Deco period chest on chest of drawers in birds eye maple and walnut. This was made in England, it dates from the 1930’s.

It is very well made and is a great size, with lots of storage space. The birds eye maple grain patterns and colours are gorgeous, there is contrasting walnut banding around the top, middle and lower edges.

We have had this recently stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. One or two of the small metal brackets that attach the solid walnut handles to the drawers appear to have been replaced over the years.
