1931 Longines pocket watch and chain
A 1931 Longines pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, 18.69Z, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and the serial number 5035520 dates it back to 1931.
The watch itself measures 47.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it has an Art Deco inspired design to the hinged back. The case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark, overall very nice for such an early piece. The inside of the case back has the same serial number as the movement so we can be sure that the case and movement are original to each other.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The signed dial has light marking but very acceptable. Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes with a single chain which measures 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
