1931 silver Cyma pocket watch
1931 silver Cyma pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, identified as a Cyma, which is working nicely. A good 15-jewel movement with engine turned plates and stamped Ref 999 which confirms it is a Cyma piece. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1931 with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison, a prolific manufacturer of cases and supplier to various watch makers. The case has some gentle unevenness to the back but overall very acceptable for a 1930s piece.
The glass lens is in lovely condition.
The dial is in super condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
