A pretty purple enamel refillable mid-century Margaret Rose powder compact which is suitable for all loose face powder and pressed face powder, such as Max Factor 'Creme Puff', Miss Beauty, CCUK and Rimmel 'Stay Matte'. The eye-catching purple lid has a diamond cut gilt floral motif. There isn't any loss of enamel. The compact is in good condition. It does have some signs of use on the lid, interior and base. Please note that the lid appears blue on these images but it is purple. The mirror is excellent and gives an accurate reflection. The original clean white sifter and instruction leaflet are in place. The base has an engraved spiral design and it is signed 'Margaret Rose ENGLAND'. This compact comes with an immaculate velvet pouch and pristine new foam puff - ready to use. Measures 2 3/4" and weighs 49.9 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
