1960s GPO split second chronograph / stop watch
A 1960s GPO split second chronograph.
The chronograph has a Valjoux 24 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The chronograph measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case has various GPO references on the reverse… GPO telecoms engineers used these chronographs for the accurate measurement and time of electro mechanical call timing equipment, ie, the antique clocks that measured STD telephone calls. There is some surface marking to the case, mainly to the back, just from use over the years.
The watch glass has light marking, nothing detrimental at all.
The dial is in lovely condition.
The chronograph will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
