A rare opportunity to acquire a highly unusual, original 1950s / 1960s, post Festival of Britain, modernist table lamp and shade.

The weighted column is constructed from brassed metal and woven natural reeds and rushes, whilst the lampshade incorporates a silkscreen print by the important modernist fabric and set designer, Tibor Reich (1916 - 1996).

The print is of his celebrated design titled 'Tournament' and is in the unusual pistachio colourway.

This is a large piece. Overall it measures c.92 cms high, whilst the shade alone is c.46 cms high.

An incredibly stylish and unique addition for a mid century interior this is a true decorator's / designer's piece and is not to be missed!
