For sale we have a truly stunning and almost new old stock 1960s 9ct gold Smiths Astral wristwatch.

This gentleman's 9ct yellow gold sweep second watch has a lovely pristine silvered dial with an outer minute and an inner hour chapter marked with Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions and single dagger batons elsewhere. The dial is signed Smiths Astral all on one line, which dates the watch to 1964 onwards, and is marked Made in England outside the minute chapter at the 6 o'clock position. The dial is completed with the original gold hour/minute hands and the original gold and red second hand, all of which are in an excellent condition. The dial is encapsulated beneath an spotless acrylic crystal.

The inscription free 9ct gold case is in an excellent condition and looks as if the watch has barely been worn. Opening the watch reveals the series 59 Cal 60464E 17 jewel movement. The movement is signed Made in England, 17 Jewels and is in an excellent condition having just been fully serviced and photographed by our watchmaker.

The watch case is approximately 1 & 1/2 inches (3.75cm) in diameter excluding the original gold crown and is presented on a new padded brown leather strap. This watch like all of our watches is being sold with a full twelve month warranty.
