1978 Omega Seamaster Day date Automatic


We have for sale the perfect 1970s watch collectors Christmas gift a very attractive vintage 1970 Omega Seamaster day/date automatic.
This gentleman's gold plated square sweep second day date watch has a silvered dial with an outer minute and an inner hour chapter marked with a double baton at the 12 o'clock positions and single batons elsewhere. The dial is signed Omega, Seamaster Automatic, Swiss Made and is in a lightly aged but very condition. The dial is completed with the original hour, minute and second hands, all of which are in an a very good condition. The watch is encapsulated beneath an excellent acrylic crystal. The 20 micron gold plated case with integral hidden lugs is in an excellent condition with no wear-through of the gold plating and virtually no age related scratches. The case is completed with the original Omega signed crown. Removal of the stainless steel Seamaster logo embossed back reveals that the inside of the case back is marked Plaque G20 Microns(indicating 20 microns gold plating to the case) Fond Acier Inoxydable, Omega within the Omega triangle and Fab Suisse, Swiss Made, 1860211. Removal of the case back also reveals the Cal 1022 23 jewel automatic movement. The movement is marked with the Omega mark on the rotor and also signed Omega along with the serial number 41250301 dating it to 1978. The movement is in an excellent condition having just been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
The watch case is just under 1 & 1/2 inches (37mm) wide excluding the crown and just over 1 & 1/2 inches (40mm) long the watch is presented on a new brown leather strap. This watch like all of our watches is being sold with a full twelve month warranty.
