This is a beautiful picture portrait plaque from Wedgewood. No 678/1000. This is a special piece from the "Papal Collection" that was produced by the Wedgwood and Wedgwood Group factories in 1982 to commemorate the visit of His Holiness Pope John Paul II to the United Kingdom on 28th May 1982. This visit was the first visit to Britain by a reigning pope. He was invited by the Bishops of England, Scotland, and Wales. A top quality collectable piece of limited edition Wedgwood in the classic blue jasperware, it will not disappoint!.
