Antique large 19C Georgian mahogany tall boy chest on chest of drawers.

An imposing and impressive chest of drawers with a huge storage capacity.

Light (for mahogany) warm colour ....a rare find.

All of the oak lined drawers slide freely.

We have a period key that fits all of the locks.

Appears to have mostly the original ormolu/brass handles although a lot of the nuts seem to have been replaced over the years.

Solid mahogany sides and drawer fronts (possibly over veneered).

This piece of antique furniture would look great in the right location, is attractive and aesthetically very pleasing.

Splits into three parts for transport (bottom, top and cornice).

Overall dimensions 1160mmW x 600mmD x 1890mmH.

Historical knocks, marks, cracking, scratching, imperfections, repairs and alterations as is usual. There are some historical woodworm holes that we have treated for good measure. Self-adhesive drawer linings have been fitted to all bar one of the drawers. Later metal protectors have been added to the feet. Evidence of refinishing and repairs to all of the usual items such as cock beading, veneers, drawers, feet, etc. as one would normally expect.

Please note that this chest is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able-bodied person to assist our driver carrying the chest.
